I was born in Middlesbrough, 13th Nov 1937. I
have been researching my Barron family for a few years, in the North East of England. To date I have managed to go back to 1540 in Hartburn near Morpeth in Northumberland. I have 374 Barrons in my tree so far. |

Are You a Barron?

If you are a Barron or a Barron descendant why not
get in touch and see if we can share information with each other? It costs nothing to get in touch, and it might be to our mutual benefit. I use Family Tree Maker, but can transfer records using GEDCOM if needed. |

The Barrons are said to be a Sept of the Rose Clan,
and to have settled in Strathnairn before the 12th Century. We haven't got that far to date. At some time the Barrons settled at Hartburn, nr to Morpeth, and then moved to Lamesley, then to Tanfield around 1700. About 1780 they moved to Sedgefield in County Durham, and then into the big wide world. None seem to have made their mark in history - so far! |
